The Twelfth International Ferro Alloy Congress (INFACON XII) will be held on June 6-9 2010 in Helsinki, Finland.

The Congress is a major forum for exchange of knowledge and new experiences in ferroalloy production, applications and markets. The theme in Helsinki is ”Sustainable Future”.

Be inspired by the congress theme, unique nature of Finland and the ever-excellent INFACON spirit and participate.

STATUS OF INFACON XII ON MARCH 1, 2010

The arrangements for Infacon XII congress with high quality papers are proceeding well.

At the moment we have already well over 200 registered participants and on the basis of experience of previous conferences we expect to have at least about 500 participants.

We will have 78 oral presentations in the technical sessions and as a new Infacon feature is a poster session with about 20 poster presentation.

The post congress tours are also well received, for the TOUR 1: Outokumpu Kemi Mine and Tornio Ferrochrome Plant, Finland we have already about 20 participants, and for TOUR 2: Tikhvin Ferrochrome Plant, Russia as well about 20 participants. For these tours we still have room, however they will fill rapidly. If you are interested in all of the post congress tours, please act soon, they are reserved on first come -basis. For exhibition there are 13 stands reserved out of 20 total stands, so there are are still few available stands! Also there are good sponsorship options.

There is still accomodation possibilities just besides the Congress venue, however our reservation for block of rooms is soon over!
