Dear colleagues and collaborators!

Although treatment of Chronic Renal Failure has made great progress during the last decades and our children grow and develop close to normal with an acceptable quality of life there still is room for progress. We know that the burden on the parents and siblings is great, many diseases are accompanied by specific additional problems and it is not easy to accept his/her difference for the child and youngster with a chronic renal disease. Thus, we have come together within EWOPA for 40 years to learn how to help these families and children and share our knowledge.

It is our pleasure to organize the 41st meeting in Helsinki in 2010. We have chosen to focus on the youngest patients as they are a group that we are very used to handle but also other topics will be discussed. I welcome you all to Helsinki in May 2010 when it is at its best and please, send your abstracts with problems that you are especially interested in and experienced with and we will modify the program accordingly.
